Is the Analog Heat Mk2 showing up in the Overbridge control panel?
Yes, but not on Ableton…
Are you on Windows or on MacOS? I know I have been struggling on my MacBook Pro quite a bit and it often required a few restarts of both MacBook and turning On/Off my Digitakt (for example) to make it all work and suddenly show up in Ableton.
On Windows 10 I had no issues so far.
Sorry, actually is not as the image below shows !
But the AH shows in the Sysex Librarian.
I’m on Mac,I have another soundcard connected (StudlioLive), is it a problem ?
Was afraid of that. Try to reboot your Mac. First with Analog Heat kept turned on.
Then see if it shows up in the Control panel. If not. Try reboot it again, with Analog Heat turned off and turn it on when fully booted and logged into MacOS.
If you use a USB hub, it might be worth trying disconnecting the USB hub and reconnecting it, so it gets reinitialized.
This usually did the trick for me.
PS. Forgot to ask. If you run the latest MacOs Catalina…check in Privacy & Security settings if the Overbridge Engine isn’t blocked? This will happen first time and you will have to unblock it and allow it to run!
I’m on Mojave, i could not update because some of stuff i have isn’t compatible.
I tried to reboot, but still no luck. AH is plugged directly into USB port, no hub.
Will try a different USB port now.
Still check the Privacy & Security settings if the Overbridge Engine isn’t blocked.
Do you see the Overbridge Engine running in the bar in the top? It should show up there if its running.
Ok. Keep the Security & Privacy Panel open. Shut down the Overbridge Engine and then start it again.
If it doesn’t show up in Privacy&Security Panel… you might have to try to reinstall Overbridge.
I have read from people with similar issues, that they reinstalled Overbridge with their Elektron devices connected and turned on and that fixed it for them.
I know a lot of people are reporting problems with Overbridge currently on MacOS.
Sorry I cannot help you more beyond this. I had a lot of trouble at the start as well in both Windows10 and MacOS and managed to resolve it with either of these procedures I mentioned so far.
PS. One last thing you could check. Though for me it always happened automatic, but worth checking out. Go into the Analog Heat > system > USB CFG and see that its set to OVERBRIDGE and not USB MIDI.
Tried reboot with the unit on and off, no lucky.
The strange thing is, i can see the AH on Sysex Librarian, so it means it’s connected properly… Seems like i’ll have to wait for a next update.
Anyway thanks for helping
I just edited my last post. A very last thing you could check, is if your Analog Heat USB CFG is set to Overbridge and not USB MIDI! It should normally happen automatically…but you never know.
That worked ! Now AH shows on Overbridge.
But how bizarre is that : instead of playing the sound plugged on the In L/R , AH is reproducing the sound of my Mac microphone ! lol
Why is that ?
EDIT : Just configured it properly ! It’s working now, THANKS A LOT
What should i select on input / output : Analog Heat (Core Audio) or Analog Heat (Bit acurate) ?
Never saw that option on my Digitakt on MacOS in Ableton. Maybe other Analog Heat owners can chime in on that.
I myself always use CoreAudio on MacOS.
