Sound Pool question

Just started to figure out the Sound Pool feature this week (Thanks to the Cuckoo video) and I have a quick question.

Is it possible to assign each sound in the pool to a different note on the mini keyboard? I would like to play it a bit like a drum kit on a keyboard.

yep! you can set up multimaps which can do this, but you can only use the mini keyboard for this as long as you are in the Multimap edit menu.
it’s in GLOBAL > MIDI > MULTIMAP. check out the multimap section in the manual for details.
if you want to use maps ouside of the menu, you have to connect some midi controller.

Thanks! I will check this out when I get home.

Am I missing something? I’ve tried the following and still I’m getting a different sound on every key?

• create a new entry
• function, Int Trig
• range low, C0
• range hi, the highest note
• track, Auto
• note, C3 (let’s say those drum patches don’t have Keytracking)
• note inc, 0
• sound slot, 1
• sound inc, 1

One more thing:

When I click or it reads “no empty space” But I don’t have any other entries in multi map???

the total note range goes from 0-127, and you have used this up in your first map (lowest and highest note are at their respective maximum).

isn’t this what you wanted? or is it a typo, and you meant “still I’m not getting a different sound…”

the map setup you posted looks OK, should work like that.

but you have to stay in the MAP SETUP menu to use the mini-keys. also, hold FN+UP/DOWN arrows to change minikeyboard octaves in this menu…
