I guess it doesn’t work that way then?
Bummer. Im so used to the kit functionality of my MD/MM/AR that anything else frustrates me thoroughly (my ST & M:C for example).

is the sound being output via the mini-USB? (and is this preferable over the aux ports at the top?)
I had less than stellar output from the aux out, but crisp output over USB.
This is good to know, the aux out on mine is ass, will buy a usb to headphone converter ![]()
Oh that’s a bummer. And strange.
is there something akin to quick pattern reload on the Cy?
Re sending different tracks to different outputs (e.g. main outs and/or phones), as mentioned early in the video, I already asked SonicWare and they replied it would not be possible due to hardware limitations ![]()
I find this alarming. 2 people reporting bad analog audio output quality compared to USB. That should really not be the case. Does everyone experience this? (Not sure how many here have one)
Which is more fun for jamming and which is best for useful sound design? The Volca Drum or the Cydrums? Cydrums may be too new for a proper answer…
CyDrums is capable of a far broader range of sounds than the Volca Drum.
Hey all, how do I save … everything? ![]()
The manual says “All data used by the CyDrums is saved in projects except for the patches and the Drum Kits.”, so project isn’t it.
The manual also says “Tracks contain both sound settings and sequences (performance data).” which reads to me as tracks would be it.
Or do I have to save multiple things, like on the sh-4d?
(Edit: I think I just deleted my sequence and sounds with the PTN button … gosh, some things are like Elektron, some things are easy to figure out, and others are wth …)
Yeahhhh I lost a pattern or two on the Lofi XT like that.
Not sure if it’s different on the Cydrums but you should be able to save both each individual pattern and also the project (which as far as I remember should include everything but ymmv…)
Thanks! Now I know why I didn’t found the info again by searching. It was posted as a screenshot ![]()
For the future:
• Saved patterns will be lost if the project is not saved. Be sure to save the project before turning off the power. Saving projects ( → P.127)
• If you have accidentally saved a pattern, you can cancel saving the pattern by reloading the project.
• Only saving the project will not save the patterns. Be aware that
they need to be saved individually.
Somehow, the presets are doing this device a disservice.
9x9 Set preset vs. tweaked:
What’s your verdict on this one so far? ![]()
Will write something later ![]()

Did I miss something or is the Reverb total trash?
Nope, it’s trash!
