(solved) Recording joystick movements in DAW?

Hello,

i want to buy an AK and have 2 questions before the deal. Maybe you can help me:

I know that it is impossible to record the joystick movements into the internal sequencer. Very pity, but o.k. for now.

But:

  1. Is it possible to record the joystick movements of the AK in my Ableton Live over USB? So that the AK will do a job as a “Masterkeyboard” in its “regular modus” (not MIDI Ext.-Modus)? In other words: I play a sound, hear this sound, move the joystick and record this movements 1:1 in my DAW.

  2. If (1) is possible: Can i record the joystick movements for each track seperately? I mean: Can i record the joystick movements of track 1 on MIDI-channel 1 in my Ableton Live and record the movements of track 2 on MIDI-channel 2 in my Ableton and so on? In other words: Is it possible to record the joystick movements for each of the 4 tracks seperately on 4 different MIDI-channels in my DAW?

That would be great and i would buy this monster.

Thanks for your help and greetings from Germany.

Excuse me for my “school-English”

Problem solved:

  1. Yes ! It is possible to record the joystick movements via USB in a DAW (Ableton Live).

  2. Yes ! It is possible to record the joystick movements via USB for each track seperately in a DAW (MIDI channel 1 = track 1, MIDI channel 2 = track 2 and so on): 4 voices - 4 MIDI channels - 4 different joystick movement recordings.

Great !!!

I have ordered my new AK

Thanks “Cuckoo” for his nice support. He is my hero
