Hi everyone,
I’m new with the Digitakt and I’m having a problem: I’ve connected via MIDI cable the Digitakt MIDI out to an external synth’s MIDI in and when i set the midi tracks (A-H) to make chords the synth only plays the root note of the chord… I’ve tried changing synth but the problem still remain. Even playing a VST on the computer the MIDI tracks only play the root note. Instead if I set the single notes of the chord to different MIDI tracks and play the tracks together the synth plays the chord…
As you can see in the video below I’ve set a D# maj chord on the MIDI A track, but triggering the button it plays only a D# note, but setting a G to the MIDI B and a A# to the MIDI C and playing them together the synth plays the chord…
What am I doing wrong? How can i solve the problem? Is there anybody experiencing the same problem with Digitakt?
Welcome to the forum!
I can’t tell from your video. Are you using Chromatic mode (manual, page 21) on your MIDI track?
Maybe this could help.

Thank you for the Welcome and for the answer. In the video I’m not using chromatic mode, but using it I can play chords. Anyway I’ve found the solution: I’m going to explain in the nex comment.

Maybe this could help.
Thank you for the answer. Turns out that I didn’t understood the proper procedure: the MIDI tracks can actually play chords only in REC mode. Writing the steps on the sequencer the synth plays the correct chord (as in the video that you’ve linked).
