As a heavy ping-pong loop user I was surprised that all pp loops in my old projects are not working anymore and LOOP MODE> PINGPONG is replaced by ON in the samples ATTR page. If I set it to PINGPONG again it’s still going to stay a regular loop.
Now I realized that the only way for me creating pploops is setting
LOOP from AUTO to PIPO in PLAYBACK SETUP.
It helps but makes all slices of a sample loop, even if no loop was created.
What did I miss? I hope it’s a basic setup issue.
I could only find the description from the changelog:
“Fixed undesired click sound that sometimes occured at the playback direction change in ping pong loop mode.”
Thanks bluewolfse7en,
just edited my first post since I forgot to mention: If I set it to PINGPONG again it’s still going to stay a regular loop. (no difference between ON or PING PONG)
So maybe I will have to contact support…
That’s weird, mine is definately working.
If I switch off loop on the ATTR menu and override on the playback menu it works as well.
Is yours ok with a new project? If so then yes drop support a line.
I’ve found that some loop points work and others don’t. It’s obviously a bug - If you make the loop position shorter the ping-pong loop sometimes turns off completely.
Could be that it’s hitting the trigger again before it reaches the point in the sample where it would reverse into ping pong.
Make sure the length of the pattern is longer than the sample.
Hope that sorts it.
I am having trouble getting ping pong to work as I expect in OS 1.4. In the AED attributes page I set Loop Mode to Ping Pong and in SRC Setup page loop set to Auto doesn’t give me ping ponging. If I set SRC setup page to PIPO then I hear them so I know I have ping pong loops setup properly. Manual says setting SRC Setup Loop to Auto should inherit my ping pong loops since I setup ping pong in the AED attributes menu. Anyone can confirm or see if I am doing it wrong?
