Damn. I hadn’t heard.
He was one of those artists who changed the course of both music and culture for generations. His work has influenced people who don’t even know it.

Hooo, this was a gut punch. Whenever I listen to the Family, I still can’t believe the funk and the energy they brought. Remains almost untouchable for a band. A genius.
