If you want me to stay is one of my all-time favorites with that killer bass into. I don’t like the covers but can appreciate when Raphael Saadiq adds a little line in homage to Sly.
So many songs that I’ve grown up with, but it’s that energy in the music that is something different.
Sly will be missed but I’m confident his music is going to keep on inspiring long beyond all of us and our goodbyes.

The Sly part was always my favorite in the Woodstock movie, overshadowing many other legendary performances. Damn, RIP.
