I recently heard of a cassette tape released back in the 80s of Alvin & the Chipmunks doing various pop/new wave hits of the time… Someone dug it up & played it back at 1/16th speed and the result was…well, it was definitely something.

On the subject of Alvin and The Chipmunks, one beautiful summer morning I drove my boy to Nursery as we played them.
When I’d dropped him off i got back in the car, put the windows down, and proceeded to drive around town with Alvin and his effin Chipmunks at a pretty intolerable volume. It just didn’t click. I was so used to playing my sons music that it didn’t register…until the 3rd or 4th laughter or scowl.

The first sounds like the intro to a Tarantino movie where a dude drives a car through the desert and the shot is taken from top right corner of the cars hood with a tilted view.
