Sidechain / fx monosynths with external inputs

Thinking on get D2,

Question: it is possible to sidechain for example a 303 routed using just one input, and then have this sidechain by the compressor?

What about two different mono inputs ( for example a 303 on the left input, and a 202 on the right input ) and then have diferent fx on each one plus independent levels on the internal mixer? maybe the 303 sidechained, the 202 without sidechain but with delay?

Thanks

you can set the input as ‘dual mono’ , each input has pan, send fx (delay, reverb, chorus) and levels.

the fx are ‘send fx’ , so you cant have a unique delay on input 1 and different delay setup on input 2… there is 1 x delay used throughout all input/channels, you can alter the amount,.
same with reverb etc

as for any side chain ‘stuff’ … someone else will know more about it than i do.
if you install overbridge, you can run the standalone digitakt 2 app and click on menus / mixer etc… get a sense of the options … you dont need a device plugged in,.

Thanks for the info, about the send fx this is awesome…

About the sidechain, yes I`m aware of the possibilities with overbridge, however my intention here is to set up the D2 on a hardware live rig where there is no computer involved, therefore would like to know if it would be possible to sidechain one or both input signals, in this case a monosynth…

One of the reasons i still like the TR8S, you can sidechain and route the audio to their own outputs, mono or stereo.

i only mentioned overbridge for you to look at the options… not to use it on the mac/pc … overbridge is just a bigger way to see options.

as i said - regarding sidechain, someone else will know more about it in terms of external input - and if its possible… i havent looked at the signal chain in the manual recently… i presume youve checked the manual so see how externa inputs are routed ?

personally i’d sample in a long acid line , use grid on it , use digitakt to play it back in slightly different structures with filter sweep… theres a lot of memory , why not use it.

Yeah sampling might do the trick, but in this case there is no need for it, and yes I`m actually reading the manual, it seems to be possible to sidechain the inputs, just not clear for me if only one input can be selected, guess will need to read again and/or make a test on the unit before buy. thanks
