I think it is my favourite instrument combination. I can add one bass, guitar or keyboard to that duo but it’s been a year more or less now that I’m using those two together or by themself and it’s been a year of fun, productivity and pleasure.
Sidenote : the release of Digitakt II made me love even more my OT.

My maiden submission to the Disquiet Junto Project.
I could have easily let the COSMOS float this on for 1 hour, but I kept it at a sociable 8 minutes or so, which seems to be my lower limit for such adventures.

So, I happened to win a remix competition by making a remix of a remix. (Re-remix? Remixception?) The winning track will be pressed on the B-side of a 7" single, making true my dream of having my music on vinyl.
Bedroom acid made using the Analog Four along with material provided for the competition and some hi-hat samples from Ableton Live stock library.
I do recommend the entire compilation though. It includes the original track and 8 remixes, and they are all great and unique.

Due to the political climate in Finland, the Finnish electronic act Lindelltronics decided to refresh their infamous track “Maan tapa”. The original was banned from the Finnish radio because it included a sample of a signal that turned off some transmitter stations.
Maan tapa 2024 is a remix of the original song. It includes samples of politicians currently in power in Finland, and also AI-generated voice snippets based on their past writings.
Lindelltronics has called this AI method “morally questionable” but also said that as an artist it is important to use these tools that are available for music-makers and thus provide context in which to discuss the questions that are inevitably raised by the technology.
The remix competition was held in late April, with a semi-open online invitation for Finnish synth enthusiasts.
Making a remix is my way of protesting both the unjust cuts made by the current Finnish government and the general trend of dismantling the welfare state.

Here’s a one-take jam I made a few nights ago after finishing building an MI Kinks module.
Aside from a few modules and the obvious boxes (Elektrons, mixer, pedals), I built all the gear myself over the span of 8 years.
Gear used:
- Plaits – Lead marimba sound, melody created by modulating one LFO with another through Kinks S&H, then patched through o_C quantiser to Plaits 1V/oct input
- Beads – Drone (audio seed from Plaits)
- Shruthi XT – Bass
- Ambika – Background arpeggios
- Octatrack – First drum loop + midi sequencing duties
- Rytm – other percussion
- Bigsky and El Capistan – FX
