There we go. But is there a way to have it sync and be a hold LFO? I guess it doesn’t matter that much…

Ohh, I don’t think so unless you switch it manually right after track start, then live sample/loop that sucker so you don’t have to do it again…

Noise. Panning.

Mostly just as a means to separate and get clear/effective results, on the AR I usually start with a sample (live jazz, other house songs, etc.). If I can’t get the results from just the sample manipulation (start time, pitch, etc.), I usually try to find complementing noise from the analog machines. This combined with the filter almost alway quickly fixes any issues and instantly gets the HHs or rides to just sit right.

When the pattern allows it, I like to use hidden polyrhythms with subtle motion sequencing. Like with a standard kick/hat/snare loop; the kick track has 16 steps, the hat has 20 steps and the snare has 24 steps. That way the subtle variations drift in and out of sync, but still stay mostly the same.
Nice to introduce some more variation when the LFO is already doing something else.

can you please explain more of your technique ?

In short, just combine the samples and analog machines.
