Just a folder of 34 bassdrum preps i did with a bit of multiband eq from Tokyo Dawn’s free “Slick EQ” and occasionally Ableton’s compressor/s… Exported them as 1 bar loops from the Daw and then exported single 24 bit stereo samples from Audacity.bassdrum preps.zip (1.7 MB)
I don’t actually know if these are going to be awesome or not as i have not yet used them.
The idea was to convert Breakbeat and Trance bassdrums for either resonant tight round sounds, or swishy kind of softer envelope … for a new type of fusion funk downtempo uptempo disco genre. Bizarre yet true. And also untested.
When importing samples to the Machinedrum, it is difficult to know what they will sound like in the MD 12 bit environment until they arrive, and then it is fairly obvious if the Machinedrum’s colouring is going to work for the sample or not.
Anyway even if one or two are of use, fabulous.
Anyone else keen to share?
