Just played my first solo gig ever.
It was super chill and awesome.
I had the Syntrx mk1 and the Polyend Mess.
I love that pedal, it’s completely amazing.
No idea why there isn’t more hype around it.

I went to a lovely concert last night to see a friend’s band. Local festival called, appropriately, June Gloom. Also discovered a handful of other very cool bands and saw some live painting! Very fun time, most bands kind of fall under the punk/ indie/ alt/ etc umbrellas. We had to leave early so I didn’t get to see all the bands, but these stood out (although we had to leave before KME played, sadly):
Carmela put on an absolutely enthralling performance. The whole band is so charismatic and vivacious, their enthusiasm was infectious.
KME is dancy pop/rock, they’re a fun time but we had to leave before actually getting to see them.
Friend’s band is whisp. They do a folksy/ bluesy thing and even though the venue had a TON of technical issues during their set (the curse of being the opener) they clearly had a lot of fun and it was cool to see someone I know doing something they love in a totally different context.

some house beats cooked up on groovebox ipad app in the couch as my broken ankle heals. Really cool free tool to make music. Saved me $300 from buying a Sonicware deconstructed minimal groovebox since I already have an ipad.
