Hi there, I have kind of an obscure question that I hope someone can answer.
I finally managed to configure my Digitakt/0-Coast combo with Logic Pro via Overbridge.
So far I am able to sequence the 0-Coast from the Digitakt (via Digitakt MIDI OUT), route the audio from the 0-Coast to the Digitakt (via Audio input), and route all audio channels (including the 0-Coast) to Logic via Overbridge/USB to separate tracks. The patterns on the DT are synched in Logic with the play/record button so I can record/play in synch. Fantastic so far.
Let’s say though that I don’t want to sequence the 0-Coast on the DT because I feel tired of manually setting notes for each trig on the DT, but I want to sequence the 0-Coast directly from Logic instead.
What I tried so far is to set up an external instrument in an additional track in Logic, set the DT as MIDI destination and the MIDI channel to 9 (the same as the one configured for MIDI Track A on the DT where the 0-Coast is hooked up). In the MIDI Channels configuration page for Track A channel on the DT, I set the channel to 9. The 0-Coast is also configured to receive MIDI on channel 9.
However, as soon as I try sending some notes from Logic to the Digitakt via the external instrument some distorted sound from the 0-Coast passes through and the DT freezes completely. I have to reboot it.
I am sure I’m doing something wrong here, maybe some kind of nasty MIDI loop, but I can’t figure it out. Do you have any idea?
Thanks!
