When i play on the digitone2 keys by hand i receive these midi data via usb in ableton (but only c#-1 (trig set to c5), but not the sequencer played notes? Via Auto channel.
they are not sent, this is a design choice
If you want to send sequenced MIDI notes you must copy seq and use a MIDI track
Thank you for that information, which i cannot believe. I have an octatrack and a syntakt and all midi to abletonvworks flawlessly. Will you really tell that digitone2 is not outputting its midi sequences via usb?
it now sounds like you are using MIDI tracks
the issue you describe is an often misunderstood issue wrt audio tracks
people are puzzled that they can play a note (it will output midi, if desired) on the track, but the recorded sequence (on an audio track) will not put sequenced midi data out
i’m hardly suggesting that MIDI tracks can’t output MIDI when I propose that as a solution
tbh, i find your one sentence minimal questions ambiguous for the most part, you will help your cause if you take your time to make your questions unambiguous, otherwise people second guess or just can’t respond
Auto Channel is a channel for receiving into the DN
yet your question title and q imply receiving from the DN
we can close the case, i returned this digitone2 with great disappointments i had against the previous syntakt i had. Finally i saw a video which maked it happen to see dt st and dte with oc and ah. That is in my eyes crazy for playing some sequences, better to do with one maschine+ in a much smaller footprint with maybe better results. I’m done with ele, until today not ready for registering new products.
