I just want to confirm that there’s no facility in Digitakt II (v1.10A) to see the list of Pattern Names in your project. (Manuals are great for what you can do, but never mention what you cannot do).
So I’ve gotta remember that the pattern I want is in Slot B15??
There is not
But there is a pen and piece of paper for ye olde world usage
Or use elkherd as I think if might display them, and arrange them in a straightforward way
I don‘t use song mode, but does it list pattern names there?
Menu > Sysex Dump > Send pattern is the weird place that does show you a lost of pattern names.
For that you would have to put every pattern in a row of the song, then go to each row and choose [patter name], which is kind of tedious but doable. And to see it, you would need to be with song mode on, i think
That would’ve a very interesting feature in Transfer, so that you could reorganize Patterns within a Project or between them.
I agree, just in case Elektron is reading along, that it would be nice functionality in Transfer to see Pattern names listed, to rearrange them.
Im pretty sure pattern organisation has been in some form of request since transfer existed…. Day 1
The ability to see and edit song , patterns . Step data / automation would be amazing.
I’ve requested this feature in the past. It really surprises me that they never implemented such a thing, since it seems like a fairly simple feature that could result in a great QOL solution.
I think I even made a mockup in the feature request thread some time ago.
It would be really great to also be able to favorite certain patterns, as to have some sort of filterable selection.
You can submit a feature request, maybe they’ll consider it. I understand that there’s pen and paper (I do this for my live sets) but I’ve forgotten my notebook on some occasions, it also requires to have a light on club settings, etc.
An ability to add a tag like intro , chorus , fill etc just like the system for sounds might be useful … though I’d likely use it for a few days and then not bother.
