Second Hand purchase - warranty transfer

I have purchased a second hand A4 which has over a year left of the original warranty.

I’ve sent three contact forms to Elektron asking what is the transfer of ownership process, with details of the sale and serial no. but have had no response.

I can’t lodge a support ticket as I have no machines registered to my account, and in any case don’t feel it’s a suport issue for the machine at this stage.

Is direct communication to Elektron from their website usually difficult to get a response to? Does anynone have advice as to how to proceed, as I’ve read elsewhere that this process should be relatively simple.

As long as the previous owner has unregistered the product you can create an account and register it. Easy peasy

Ok, thanks @yobink.

Is it “normal” for Elektron to ignore repeated communications asking about such procedures?

Dunno. I’ve always gotten fast answers here.

As did I from you…and, as you say, easy peasey…now registered! :grinning:

Do we need proof of purchase from the original owner!?

Without a proof of purchase, the start date of the 3 years coverage is measured from the build date on the bottom. With a receipt, from the printed date of purchase.

Ok thank you; will try and get the original invoice, or receipt from the point of purchase.

sure. even if you can’t get it, look at the serial # sticker on the bottom for the build date and then calculate how many weeks to figure out how much time is remaining on the warranty.
