I was just thinking as release schedules for musical gears seem to be a …
sort of a vague thing…
Is there anywhere on the Mighty Internet (slight sarcasm) where we can have a schedule for at least… current estimation for, say, this year’s gear?
Would it make sense to have the list here?
yep, that’s it.
For example:
-Elektron’s Outbox8 SB statement was about “probably june” and so… maybe July?
-Korg teased about mixers but… any educated guess for release?
-What’s your favourite gear people should know about and can you dare hazard a guess when it’s coming out?
…And I don’t mean rosyglassed fan hopes, just realistic estimations…
…And yes I know you can go to Synth Anatomy or your favourite spot to sort out the gear from the news, but there are also a lot of plugin etc. news to sort through, and the news sometimes seem a bit … rosyglassed fan hopes as far as I can see
by “schedule” etc. I did mean that, not “discuss chipsets and editors”
and Behringer is releasing so much stuff so who can keep track anyway lol
but okay yeah the Gear In Progress is a good thread, interesting stuff for getting hyped etc
Yeah it would be nice if there was one magic dynamic list somewhere that just showed gear in the queue and when ( and how much ).
Most often though it’s not quite that simple. Future plans are always subject to change.

Another place you can look in this forum is the Crowdfunding thread. That’s almost entirely new gear. The crowdfunders lay down a – subject to change – projection of when they will ship the gear they have pledged to deliver to a customer, and when that gear will be available to the public. Usually you need to look in the latest update for that product ( if it isn’t hidden and for backers only ) to see what their latest estimates are.
That’s probably not too helpful, sorry.
Here’s something else easier, and maybe ( or maybe not ) more helpful. Go to your preferred two-letters-both-vowels site and put in the question – “what hardware synthesizer gear is becoming available soon ?”
I don’t do this myself, and i won’t get this post flaggsd by listing results, though i just tried it and it can give a result somewhat resembling reality. ( Well mostly, but ymmv. )
