Saving performance kits?

Managed to land in an A4/AR like situation: Churned out a couple of patterns only to realize when I was finished that I had performance kit mode activated the whole time. I want to get back the original sound of my first pattern but keep the changes for all of the subsequent patterns.

But if I exit performance kit mode, all of the patterns share the kit of pattern 1 and my changes are lost. How can I solve this?

Tried so save the kit as new kit while performance kit mode was still active, but it didn’t save the changed kit and as soon as I exit performance kit mode, everything reverts back still.

My guess would be

  • copy current pattern (get out of grid recording, then FUNC+COPY), then
  • paste into empty pattern (I think that is PTN+TRIG+PASTE)

I’d check the manual on that first though.

Thanks, but if that would work, I wouldn’t have any problem, since I‘ve copied pattern one to pattern 2 initially, then started to make changes and then copied pattern 2 to 3 etc. Because I‘ve been in performance kit mode when I copied pattern 1, none of the patterns seems to have any preset information besides the performance kit info and the presets of pattern 1.

Edit: Solved it. Saving the kit as a new kit while still in performance mode and then loading the new kit to the pattern works. For some reason, I didn’t think about loading the new kit after saving it.
