With the latest DT2/DN2 OB 2.21.3, clicking the standalone/plugin’s onscreen piano keys of track 16 will change the PTN, running through all banks A-H. Pretty sure this is a bug but maybe i’ve just routed something weirdly… Can anyone confirm? Cheers!

Sorry I’m not able to check directly, but on previous versions of OB wasn’t it a feature that sending midi notes to track 16 would trigger pattern change? Is it not possible that this is the same feature, just that it’s triggered from piano roll (or whatever the interface looks like)?
I know that people were doing this with MIDI previously.

Thanks! Seems like that’s what’s causing it. Weird, though. OB’s gui piano should really only audition the preset/sound present on track 16, not change pattern (immediately, without warning!)
Maybe it’s always been this way with the DN2/DT2 and i just haven’t come across it before (I rarely use track 16). Will drop support a message, see what they think.

I would have no idea, unfortunately. I just know that they’re related, so if the behavior is abnormal, it’s probably a byproduct of that.
I am late to join the party, but I got some kind of the same problem: when sending midi from ableton to the “sound 16” of Digitakt 2, instead of triggered the sound it changes pattern. So for now, I have the 16th sound I cannot trigger externally. Maybe it has been fixed since then.
