Sampling from input. Cannot listen to what I'm recording

hey guys, I recently got an octatrack and of course i’m experiencing issues on sampling, starting from the the fact I cannot listen what I’m playing on my speakers, but yes I can from the headphones. If I put trigs on the secuence I can listen what is playng but delayed and just on the trig. i already pushed up the value of the dir on the mixer page. I hope someone can help me on that, thanks!

Which of the OT’s audio output jacks are you using to listen? Have you sent the incoming audio to the Cue outputs, intentionally or otherwise? See page 75 of the manual.

i checked but it shoud be setted to the main by default. i can listen it just on the trigs in the secuence but with bip in between

Try this: Press ‘mixer’. Turn on the appropriate inputs (A/B or C/D) and turn up the DIR setting to 127.

Yes I did but no sound, the thing is that I can listen it by the headphones

hey guys I realized that I can listen just from the imput B and D, If I plug just the A or C it doesn’t sound, even if i set just input A or C. Any idea about the reason why?

You’re still monitoring with DIR ?
You should hear AB CD.
Don’t use track 8 as Master fx to make tests.

(In different cases and with several settings, it is possible to hear B only if you select B only in a Thru machine, B only as Input in Rec Setup, or in Rec setup 2 DIR for Pickups)
