Sample preparation and normalization

i just wanted to feed my dt and m:s with my own samples.

is there any preparation necessary? and does tranfers offer normalization?

i started rendering my samples and i am thinking about normalization to -1db or should i better take given loudness of the samples?

perhaps somebody has a good workaround.

Using transfer will convert your samples to the proper format for the machine you are putting them on. Doing anything to your samples is generally unnecessary except if you are using stereo samples.
