I wish they would allow you to work around this by simultaneously recording to multiple tracks pulling from the same sample chop pool. This is how Polyend does it.
Fwiw I think the choke of each octatrack track helps keep busy arrangements and patterns sounding tight, sparse, clear, and easy to mix. I get that there are cases where it’s annoying too obviously!
