RYTM & Octatrack MIDI overlap?

Hello folks,

Today i encountered a strange problem. I have RYTM running as the Master (only Clock/Transport send) and Octatrack as Slave (only Clock/Transport receive).

When I f.e. mute/unmute the cymbal on the RYTM, suddenly the effect 1 on Octatrack changes certain parameters (in this case the Mids on DJ EQ effect).

But the same is the other way around. When I turn the release knob on Octatrack’s Track 1 AMP page, it changes the tune of RYTM’s kick.

Must be a configuration fault on my side I guess?

Check your MIDI settings, most likely you are sending MIDI CC from the knobs and the boxes react to each others’ controls because of this.

Most subsets of commands have the option of being sent to internal or internal + external and so on

You just need to select Mutes in that options menu and set to Internal
It’ll be amongst other settings like Notes Aftertouch etc

Yeah, I thought it might have something to do with MIDI settings. But I’m sure only the specific Clock and Transport boxes are checked, everything else is unchecked.

I’ll have a look after lunch.

the encoder destination settings are not checkboxes, they have a text “INT/EXT/INT+EXT”. Make sure these are all set to INT.
