Hi All, I just wanted to share my experience migrating from Rytm 1 to Rytm 2.
I read this thread before I attempted the transfer, and was prepared for quite a tedious process - but in the end it wasn’t all that bad.
I am using a Windows 10 PC
I hooked up the Rytm 1 using the USB, and loaded Elektron Transfer. In this I transferred all Sounds, Projects and Samples. I noted that when sending the Project I use mainly, it contained all required samples (including sequence order for the samples) - it was about 3.5MB in size (I really only used drum hits as my samples).
After this, I needed to dump the SysEx from the Rytm1 using MidiOX.
I exported All Sounds.syx; AllKits; AllPatterns.
Then send all data back to the Rytm2. This involved sending the Projects, Sounds, Samples using Elektron Transfer. Then dumping the SysEx on the Rytm2 using MidiOx.
This is all I needed to do to be up and running on the Rytm2
