RYTM for synth bass?

I’m noticing that the RYTM makes some deep as hell bass sounds.

Are there soundsets that use the RYTM synth bass capabilities well?

To me some of the sounds that I hear are deeper and ballsier than any Moog I’ve owned.

It seems to me that a RYTM using chromatic, choke and FM could be a devastating bass noise machine.

Can you point me to some Sound Packs that really focus on the synth side of the RYTM?

Not much help with sound packs but I’ll say I’ve had the Rytm produce tones so low my desk was shaking but I couldn’t hear the note, I tend to slightly highpass my entire rytm signal even…

I’ve been working on some that might see the light before the end of 2019. — Seriously tho. The new DVCO machine has been a godsend for this box. (72 osc configurations ranging from summing, to RM, to FM, to RM & FM at the same time. Honestly been getting quite a few batshit autechre kicks/ snares/ hats out of this thing. <3 —not that this couldn’t be done beforehand; but being able to modulate through this number of configurations is INCREDIBLE.)

Mmmm those delicious brown notes lol

I’m pretty surprised by how fat, deep and punchy the RYTM is.

Way underrated machine.

Here’s an older clip of a thing I started writing upon receiving the MKII upgrade. Super authoritative lows around 1:13 with the bass tom happening around 2:14. <3

I was thinking …

What if I LFO wobbled a bass sound and choked it with an FM bass sound?

This could be done almost subsonically, giving the track an underlying tempo sync’d rhythmic girth.

I’m just thinking of all sorts of possibilities.

The MKI is going for $600-700USD now.

2 or more might be pretty wild. Running through an Octatrack back through a RYTM?

I spent a couple hours messing with trying to make a variety of synth bass sounds.

I’m just not that skilled yet.

With my Boomstars, it’s a breeze.

I really want to figure this out.

apologies. went ahead and set it to a private link on SC despite the godawful data compression :slightly_frowning_face: .

yeah, I still don’t have an OT so I can’t exactly speak to looping it through and back, but that sounds interesting lmfao. I concur; 2 would be the end of whatever PA you put that through.

lmfao. thanks man. :slightly_smiling_face: (I should clarify that was the “hard kick”)

If you haven’t checked out glitche(d)'s Synthetics pack, you’ll no doubt find some pretty nifty patches there.

This pack is the answer. So glad I bought a second RYTM.

This box is the bass machine no one talks about.

A couple of these with an Octatrack is gonna be insane. And I have an Analog Keys.

What’s great is that it all WORKS together for live performance. I’m so tired of “work arounds”.

Damn these bass patches are sick!!!
