Rytm and OT

only have my rytm 2 days i was wondering then can i change bank on rytm and it change automatically same time with my OT there synced

yes

how do i do it th machines are sync but banks arent

If the AR is the master and the OT is the slave, you can set up your system so that pattern changes on the AR trigger pattern changes on the OT by setting the following:

In the OT’s PROJECT > MIDI > SYNC menu, enable PROG CH RECEIVE and set the related CHANNEL setting as decsribed on pages 42-43 of the manual.

In the AR’s GLOBAL > MIDI CONFIG > MIDI SYNC menu, activate PROG CH SEND. See pages 54-55 of the v1.30 manual for the AR.

In the AR’s GLOBAL > MIDI CONFIG > MIDI CHANNELS menu, set PROGRAM CHANGE OUT CHANNEL to the same number that you set up on the OT. See pages 56-57 of the v1.30 manual for the AR.

The AR will now send MIDI Program Change messages to the OT to change the OT’s patterns.

will check it out later thanks iv OT slave i want too far off the idea

So, assuming that you have connected one port of your MIDI Thru box to the MIDI In port of the AR and that your MIDI cables are good, you need to make the following settings:

In the AR’s GLOBAL > MIDI CONFIG > MIDI SYNC menu, activate PROG CH RECEIVE. See page 54 of the manual.

In the AR’s GLOBAL > MIDI CONFIG > MIDI PORT CONFIG menu, set INPUT FROm to ā€˜MIDI’ (or ā€˜MIDI+USB’). See page 55 of the manual.

In the AR’s GLOBAL > MIDI CONFIG > MIDI CHANNELS menu, set the PROGRAM CHANGE IN CHANNEL to the required value. See page 56 of the manual.

In the OT’s PROJECT > MIDI > SYNC menu, activate PROG CH SEND and set the corresponding CHANNEL number to the same number as you set for the AR above. See page 42 of the OT manual.

:joy: thanks got it i also was copying the pattern the AR bank a different way now its all working :joy:

The problem comes when you both have the AR and the A4 and want both of them to change patterns when the OT does it.

What can you do here?

Connect the MIDI Thru port from the first slave instrument to the MIDI In port of the second slave instrument

In my case i have the AR and A4 on two different midi channels, and in the OT’s midi sync menu you can only set it up to sync with one channel…
So i don’t think that solution would work.

If you want both AR and AF to follow pattern changes from the OT, there is no reason not to set the same channel number for the PROG CHANGE IN CHANNEL setting on both AR and AF.

interesting thanks i not get it program change should related to pattern change on the machine thats very nice to do that… i will try to get that exact same scenario working here. thanks to share
