Has anyone tested this successfully with Overbridge?
My Rytm is receiving midi from Push and my external synth on midi port A is receiving from Rytm’s pads and sequencer. No passthru of notes on push to the external synth however.
Checked the send track midi option in the quantise menu and port config options all look OK too.
Space is at a premium so I’m trying to keep things minimal by using the Rytm as an audio and midi interface for the external synth. Appreciate any advice offered.
I can’t find anything in the revised manual. Perhaps I’m missing something fundamental? Wouldn’t be surprised, I’m relatively new to this unit.
Currently running Live 10.1 on Catalina, everything on latest updates btw.
I’m surprised no-one has any interest in passing usb midi from the Rytm’s midid ports. Personally I think the Ableton/Rytm combo is great but it’d be so handy to be able to pass usb midi from a daw out via a midi port.
Here’s the official line from support in case anyone else thinks about this at a later date:
‘The Ableton Push does not have any physical MIDI ports if I recall correctly. The Analog Rytm MKII can not act as a USB to MIDI interface, unfortunately. The physical MIDI ports and USB-MIDI are not connected, so notes received via USB-MIDI can not be sent out on the physical MIDI ports, unfortunately. It sounds like this is why it’s not working.’
