Roland TR09 Shuffle problems

Hello everyone. I’m having a problem with the shuffle settings on my TR-09
When I modify the shuffle of a preset pattern, it doesn’t save to memory, and I don’t know if it’s possible to do this with preset patterns or only with newly created ones, or if it’s a characteristic of the original 909. One of the symptoms I’ve noticed is that when I try to cancel the shuffle with the 8 key, it doesn’t work, but everything else does. Could this be a software problem? Thanks.

I really don’t know how it applies here, but on the original 909 swing or shuffle is a global setting. Are you saying that you’ve tested it and that new patterns retain the swing setting on a per pattern basis, so that when you load another one the swing parameter automaticaĺy changes to match it? I would think that it’s a global setting vs like, elektron type “projects” that store everything together.

I think I’ve found the solution: for the TR-09 to save all parameter changes, the pattern needs to be in step-write mode. Now the Shuffle change works… I think the problem is solved!! Thanks for the information and best regards!

The original 909 stores shuffle and flam settings at the pattern level, you have to set them whenever you make a new pattern from clear. Default is straight grid.

My mistake, good call.
