What file format/s are you transferring, are they signed PCM files or IEEE float, what kind of file names are we talking?
I’m happy to try transferring one of your files to my TR-1000 if it helps.
The samples come straight from my Rytm. They are 48khz 16 bits.

It will be highly appreciated if you’d let me know if it loads correctly via usb. 
I’m guessing because Open and Closed HHs are usually treated as a choke group.
Another question that can be filesystem related, how long does it take your TRs to do a factory reset? Mine takes forever, up to 5 minutes… Saving projects, up to 3 minutes.
I‘d say mine took like 10 minutes for s reset.
Did a backup couple days ago incl like 6 projects with like 100 Pattern…
Took like 2 hours straight not even kidding.
Importing/saving samples takes like 5 seconds, 60 sec samples like 30 seconds.

The weird thing is that now, after doing another factory reset and reformatting my thumb drive the sample linked above and others load fine… I’m starting to think it’s the project that I sent to Roland to analyse without any issues…
Good for you if it’s just a corrupted project. I just loaded your sample without issue.
Yeah that works for me too. Must have been a corrupted project. Wonder what could cause such a thing.

Heh you can actually play pong on the MC-707, so wouldn’t be surprised if the TR-1000 also includes some easter egg

Have you tried making sample chains with 16 samples for the TR1000? Sample slice should be able to work well for this, no?
Yeah they work great. 
I had the same errors with App import a while back.
I can’t remember how I fixed it - from memory it just changed.
I haven’t done a reset / restore
I think somehow my system got corrupted beyond a single project. Talking to Roland they advised to switch projects and try loading samples but with the same result.
I sent the unit back to Thomann after doing a factory reset and they told me everything seemed fine.
When I got it back yesterday I initially restored my backup and the problem was there again.
Then did a factory reset and loading samples worked.
Restored my backup and exported my patterns and kits, did another factory reset and imported the patterns and kits to a clean project. All good since.
Besides making regular project backups I’ll also export patterns and kits from now on.
Hello, sorry if this topic has already been discussed here before, but for some reason I couldn’t find it using the search.
I want to use the TR-1000 as a groovebox (kind of like Octa features with drums), so I’m running my modular into the external input and either sampling it or playing it live.
What I’m noticing is that the recorded samples are being triggered strangely by the trigs — sometimes they trigger from the beginning, sometimes they don’t.
I’m also wondering if it’s possible to somehow have different start points assigned to different trigs, similar to how it’s possible on Elektron devices.
Only with slices I guess. I would like to see start/loop/end points to be p-lockable too.

I’ve just been using the TR-1000 on it’s own clock and recording into ableton straight, but does that Nome II do anything to make it worth buying for syncing?

Nome will definitely make your DAW clock output much tighter, no matter what gear you connect to it. Would recommend it for anyone with a hybrid setup.
My TR-1000 clocks perfectly to my Midronome (/Nome I). I just set the clock delay in the TR-1000 to 49 and it is bang on.
Nome II has been revolutionary for me. I know I’m late to the MIDI clock game, but having everything, software and hardware, aligning on the grid is… Dare I say it, a game changer
