There is a Tom Lee HK store, dunno if that price could be HK dollars? The SH-4d is $3,999 there.
If itās not peak Roland (an accordion loaded with D-Beams), I donāt wanna know about it.
Now you know a possible reason for TV getting released when it has.
Roland be like āoh you want an analog drum machine that can live up to the TR of old do ya?⦠there you go Ā£3.5k. ![]()
Itās gonna be as much or more than the other premium new machines in production: Jomox, Mordor, Soma, Erica Synths and Elektron.
Roland: ay yo how much do 909s sell for
Roland: dunno, £3500?
Roland: ok letās do it
Well, $3500 CAD is something like $600 USD so not too bad ⦠![]()
J/K my northernly friends! ![]()
Iāve gone from quite excited to completely put off.
Roland in a nutshell ![]()
WeÄŗl at least we know that it wonāt be red.

Analog drums + samples + polysynth in a usable interface with no weird shortcuts that you canāt remember if you smokeā thatās worth 3,500 canadian
Nine times out of ten, a Roland product release is like getting a Christmas present from someone who doesnāt know you very well.
ā[tearing off wrapping] ⦠oh, a yoga mat ⦠um, thank you ā¦ā
This is the dream!!!
Adjusting for inflation itāll still be cheaper than the 808 was when it first came out

I saw the TR-1000 in Japan last week from an electronic musician who involved in the design (he also helped design the Aira series). Itās a grey alloy chassis with plenty of faders and knobs. It has analog, digital and sampler with multiple outputs. Connectivity wise, it has CV/gate, midi, dinsync and USB. Too bad I havenāt listened to it but it seems to be positioned as an ultimate drum machine/workstation.
lol thats the best Roland analogy Iāve ever read
