Roland Ju 06 out of production?

I’ve been using the TAL U-NO-LX for years and it has merely fuelled my GAS for a good hardware Juno.

The TAL is great. I used it for years. Saying that, I took the plunge a while back and bought a 106 from Soundgas. It’s pristine and had the chips replaced with analogue renaissance ones. Paid a little higher than I would have liked but it was worth it for piece of mind. It sounds better than a plug in.

Tal is great. I have a Juno 60 which I never use now as I don’t have the room. Probably sell it as I fancy a rev 2 module.

Do you think the TAL Plugin is closer to the original Juno 106 then the boutique ju 06?

I’ve GAS FOMO’d and picked up a second hand one from eBay. Has some slider damage but still 100% ok.

The best thing is my partner won’t assume I’ve brought a new synth since I owned one before. I’ll just have to pretend it was up in the loft!

Haha that’s great. I picked up a tape recorder locally that ‘s pretty beat up. My wife didn’t even look twice at it since it looks like shit.

Ha! I slid my recent PMD-430 pickup past the wife relatively easily as well. It wasn’t in great condition, so she didn’t even quiz me on price.

Wow, Ive been looking around for one for a few months now and found nothing but overpriced/overpriced and used. Just scooped one up from SamAsh. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah that ARMENS guy on eBay but he’s a freaking ripoff. They are however going for more than their original price already.

Here’s an unpopular opinion. I bought a JU-06 for really cheap back when they were first discontinued. I always thought I liked the sound of the Juno 106 but now I’m not so sure. Never owned a real one and I might have had an idealized version of what it should sound like. The JU-06 sounds kind of bad to me. The chorus is really cheesy. SH-01a is more fun and has a superior user interface. I suppose it’s just personal preference…

I like the sound of Roland boxes but found the knobs and dials way too small for my fat fingers. I think that I will stick to my Elektrons.
