I have this soundcard. But in ableton it says 2 output and 12 input.
I expected 4 inputs and 4 outputs, and after connecting adat 12 input and 12 output. I also expected the headphones out to be sepersts output in ableton.
What do I do wrong?
Can´t test atm, but I think
you´ve got to set the Babyface into DAW mode,
or you have to check settings in Total Mix.
Is it because you have not selected the outputs in the Output Config?
Here’s mine that shows up as only 2 outs:
My ableton doesn’t show this output configuration, it only says out1/2
If you go into Settings -> Audio -> Output Config what do you see?
Are you using the RME drivers?
in general you should see the total inputs/outputs next to the interface name but to enable them for use you need to click the Output Config, if you don’t see the correct inputs/outputs count maybe the driver is not installed properly or maybe you need to do extra config in the RME control software?
These are my settings and it does show as 14 in, 14 out but only have stereo outs configured.
yeah that means that it’s driver/totalmix thing, you probably supposed to enable the additional channels from totalmix (assuming the correct driver is installed)
Have you restarted total mix after making changes ?
these drivers make me crazy
I think something goes wrong with installation
I am on iOS Ventura
I have to do something in the security/privacy
but I don’t understand what, and on my computer it looks different.
nothing to allow after installing drivers
At least I have 14 in and 14 out now
Still no idea where I can find totaling fx
My issue was, during installing, my sound card was in cc mode (no idea why this influences installation of drivers)
I just found my totalmix fx
Not happy with this onboarding experience
In the latest version of the drivers I don’t think you have to change the security settings.
As far as I remember you have to put it in to CC mode when you turn it on. It’s a great feature and means you can hook it up to an iPad etc.
