This is a no talking, low investment forum game where you respond to the previously posted sound with a different sound. Any sound that falls within the rules and which is not a deliberate attempt to sabotage the game is fine. The object is for this to be engaging but mindless, so funny, clever and creative responses are all encouraged.
The rules are simple:
- MP3 and WAV files only. Uploads only (silver box). No youtube, no videos. No full songs.
- Only respond to the most recently posted sound. Only one response per person on a turn.
- Nothing that requires any debate over whether or not it’s appropriate. Use your discretion.
- No chat. If you want to comment on something, use the companion thread.
You can find a sound on google. You can record a sound. You can make a sound. You can make a sound out of the sound that you’re responding to. You can also post a maximum of 30 seconds from a song or 30 seconds of recorded dialogue if it’s situation appropriate. Other non-verbal / non-musical sounds can be a bit longer if they’re interesting, but the point is to keep things moving along.
Your sound should be a response to the one most recently posted, not just something random and not a response to one higher up in the thread. Obviously, there’s a wide margin for what a response to a noise could be so get creative and nobody will be too hung up on that but remember that this is intended to be mindless but engaging so don’t think too hard about it or someone else will probably take your turn.
