Resetting Songs On Connected Devices

Hi,

I am running Octatrack II as the master clock with Digitakt II and Digitone II as slaves.

I have songs on both of those devices.

I want to start from the beginning of those songs when I press play on the Octatrack (having first pressed stop) but the only way I can make this happen is if I press SONG and the appropriate trig for the song number on the two connected devices. I’m guessing this might be a program change thing but I can’t seem to find it. It’s a bit of a pain to have to keep doing this. Is there a better way?

Why aren’t you using the Octatrack’s arranger instead of individual song modes?

Unless your songs consist of single patterns with mutes I don’t really see an advantage of having to manage two separate instances of songs instead of arranging it all through the OT. But workflows are different of course…

My setup is basically the same (plus Syntakt) and so far I didn’t feel the need of using the Digi‘s song modes instead of the (quite powerfull) arranger on the OT.
