Resampling via cue increases volume on headphones

so I’m working exclusively with headphones at the moment.

resampling via cue bus. just selecting the source track via cue doubles the volume of the source in the headphones even when the destination sampler track is muted / no play trigs.

is this just a headphones thing aka selecting a track for the cue bus sends it to the headphones too, so I’m getting 2 copies of the source? 1 from the master & one in the cue bus aka headphones?

so like if I hooked the master outs up to my studio the volume increase wouldn’t happen?

is that what’s happening?

Any way to disable cue to headphones if that’s the case?

Mixer > Heaphones mix set to Main.
