Repitch … almost there

repitch is great when I want DT to behave like a typical DJ deck, however the shortest interval being 1 bar makes it a bit limiting

suggestion:

  1. allow shorter loop lengths, i.e. quarter note
  2. allow uneven loop lengths
  3. allow the user to set tempo in BPM, i.e. when scrolling past the 8 bar setting, that way shorter one shot samples can repitch with tempo changes

in this mode (3) the start/end parameters would behave like in one shot mode, but with the repitch twist…

point 3 is a must imo …

Totally agree with this. That would be great.

Point 2 though [quote=“kfrm, post:1, topic:218348”]
allow uneven loop lengths

Is already possible using the start and length parameters. But fixed options would be pretty nice.

A current workaround for the shorter lengts is to resample the loop 2 octaves or something.

actually the other modes (werp, stretch) would benefit from having the ability to specify BPM as well, as opposed to just bars

I’d like to bump the request for repitch and stretch machines to have a half bar and maybe even quarter note length as an option.

I like to slice my loops into shorter phrases, so i can get their sync tighter, and reorganise their structure, do reverses, etc. But then the engine tries to stretch that section to a full bar, and pitches it an octave down.

Currently i have to resort to using a DAW to slice and prime those, kind of negating the point of having a Digitakt somewhat.

Yes please, repitch machine should have a quarter note and half bar length option!
