Remote Control Power Plug Sockets

Hi

Is anyone using Remote Control Power Plug Sockets to turn off there gear in one press of a button as im thinking of getting a couple but im worried how gear handles just turning off from the wall sockets rather than turning them off by there on off switches or buttons

Model:cycles and model:samples definitely won’t behave as expected if switched off remotely …. Current state of the project is not saved and there have been many threads where people have been caught out by this.

Yeah thats what im worried about as its like a power cut happening every time you turned them off

I think i will give it a miss

I seem to recall reading these often can’t handle as much power as a regular multi plug. Could be wrong but I think that’s why I didn’t get them at the time

I have to add @Junkmanukuk if you do go this root - The Rule over all rules: amps/powered speakers Last On First Off.
I ignored this and popped my old mixers output board, phones output an all :grimacing:
But most other gear I still rock on and off via a single switch.
