Still new to the digitakt, lovin it so far seems to be the most immediate elektron box to make something cool… getting there with it just a couple things not sure about …
Does it save a reload state for each pattern or just saves one state even when changing patterns ? Cheers!
The states are saved per pattern. Which makes it a bit hard to jam over pattern changes as you might have noticed. But the way it is implemented comes with some advantages, though for the life of me, I can’t seem to think of one

do you mean you can’t jam and control all while changing patterns?
The Rytm and A4 have kits which make this possible to alter sounds while changing patterns but they don’t have control all…
Just a different way going about it I guess.

Yeah, the DT has a different kit structure from those machines. Control all, or any parameter change for that matter, is not transferred to other patterns. It still works, but you have to be a bit more aware of the state of the next pattern you’re going to.

Which isn’t really portable in the real sense of a kit.
You can’t (afaik) simply copy the pattern kit data to a new pattern or song without bringing along all the trigs.
You can copy the whole pattern then delete the trigs.
It’s not advanced as the A4 and AR but it’s easier to use.
I’ve got them and it gets more complicated.
The digitakt is more like Electribe SX sampler but much better in every way.
You can copy sounds, variations on a sample. But the samples themselves are hardwired to the slots
Yeah I know you can do individual track settings but to save all tracks together as a whole isn’t currently possible.
At least on Model:Samples you could create a “kit” using the folder structure. A “kit” was 6 samples in a folder.
