This might be a unconventional post… anyway:
I am trying to recreate the synth/piano patterns of the song squarepusher - planetarium.
The purpose is mostly to get more understanding of toms work with harmonics and stuff, also i like the feel of this piece very much. Alos id like to learn at least parts of it on the piano (even tho i am not a piano player and this piece semms to be something for advanced musicians)
so before i get into learning the fingery stuff, id like to recreate the sounds on the digitone.
- pad (thats easy)
- lead synth (maybe also not so hard)
- distorted sounding piano kinda thing (thats a special sound, maybe hard to create)
so far i have the pad, and i also found a page which shows you the notes to play for it. thast easy.
now i try to recreate the synth and dist-piano.
If anyone else tried this already, id be happy for some tips and conversation about it.
also if there are notes on how to play the lead and piano stuff would be great.
