Hey, has anyone been able to record the mute states when using Digitakt and overbridge in a Daw? In Ableton I can record parameter changes from the Digitakt when using the plug in with overbridge. I can also trigger the mutes on screen with the plugin and it will record, but it does not seem to record mute presses on the digitakt itself. I was hoping to be able to record my live jams, which include a lot of muting and unmuting as a way of creating the song arrangment.
Try going into Settings->MIDI Config->Mute Dest and change it to Int+Ext (caveat: I only use OB for recording audio, not recording automation, so that may or may not make a difference )
Hi spikysimon,
tried that already and no joy, its really strange.
Ah too bad. Maybe someone who has more experience of using OB that way can chime in.
I record my mutes in Cubase
And it works fine
Not using overbridge
Good to know it’s possible to do this. Wonder why I can’t get it working in Live
Can you see if ableton recieves the midi signal?
So, I’ve looked into this a bit further. If I set the mutes to send to external and internal then it sends the mutes out on cc110 Which I can then play back to the Digitakt to trigger the mutes.
So it looks like the overbridge plugin is not responding to the mutes,
I will file a bug report over in that forum, and meanwhile I can just record a separate mid track for the mutes.
Problem (kind of) solved!
