Hello there. I’m able to record midi messages in Luna just fine with all my hardware, except for my analog rytm. I went in the menu and set it up for CC, and set it up to send and receive midi info through usb. Is there any other setting that I’m missing? The only difference in how I recorded the Analog Rytm’s midi from the rest of my gear, is that I used Beat Step Pro’s drum channel (which is only 1 midi channel) to sequence the Rytm, and the rest of my gear with Squarp’s Pyramid. So In Luna, I have all my drum parts in one instrument track sending audio to separate channels. Any ideas what to do? Thank you!
Rytm doesn’t send CC from sequencer if that’s what you mean?
No, I’d just like to be able to record CC messages by turning knobs. For example, I’d like to turn a knob and change my hi hat’s decay and have that recorded in my daw.
Have you set ENCODER DEST in the port config to INT+EXT?
Additionally you can select with OUTPUT CH if it sends on the auto or the track channel.
And last: depending on OUTPUT CH check the configuration of the corresponding midi channel (is auto channel/track channel configured correctly?).
I do have it set to int+ext, and the channels and outputs are configured correctly as the midi notes in luna are playing all the drums parts correctly. I’ll have to check if it’s set to auto or track…should it be on Auto? Again, the midi notes all seem to be fine, I just can’t record Cc.
This depends completely on what you want to do.
There is no “right” setting. Just a choice you have to made. When using the track channel you can distinguish from which track they came. When using the audio channel all CCs gets sent on the same channel.
Setting it to “track” fixed the issue! Thanks a ton, man!
