Recording Buffer Bug

Hello to everyone,

My octatrack ignores once on two the parameter of the rlen and keeps recording when this pass the audio was not recorded in the buffer,
I am forced to restart the OT to fix the problem.

I create new project, i format memory card. Always same…

More details please. What are your Rec Setup 1 and Rec Setup 2 settings ?
When it records longer, there’s no sound ?
Do you use a one shot rec trig ?
Any scale setup modification ?

Rec1 setup :

AB : -
CD : -
RLEN : 64
TRIG : ONE2
SRC3 : T8 (Master Track)
LOOP : ON

PAGE 2 :
FIN 0
FOUT 0
QREC OFF
QPL OFF
AB OFF
CD OFF

I use OShot Trig
Scale Setup : Per track - master 64
When record normal same, no sound.

I change the bank for new song, And i use a Flex Machine Recording Buffer 1.
And it doesn’t always work but sometime or with reboot.

Ok bank change means part change means potential recording problems.
My guess is that it memorize the previous part RLEN setting. Make same settings Rec Setup settings for the other bank (especially RLEN=64, SRC3=T8) and check again.

Reboot is not necessary I think. A project reload is enough.

even without changing banks now… the one shot trig ignores RLEN and does not stop. it’s very boring … when I reboot it’s better, but I can not restart in full show! Is no isolated problem, every 10min/15min reboot needed…

Maybe something with arm/rearm One Shot?

No, disarm track (one shot) not responding when the record ignores RLEN :frowning:

As I wrote, reload project should suffice, no need to reboot.
If you modify and set again RLEN to 64, it should work, without project reload.

It seems to revert to RLEN = MAX setting.
Are you absolutely sure there’s no part change, no bank change after reload or reboot ? If it’s the case, set other parts settings with RLEN 64 and SRC3 T8.
I had a similar bug with part changes.

What is your recording track scale ?

Per track : master 64

recreates a project by setting the parameter scale pattern on normal and this work, maybe i missîng a master lenght somewhere, thanks for your help,

Cheers

I was about to ask why “Per Track” with Master 64.
