My octatrack ignores once on two the parameter of the rlen and keeps recording when this pass the audio was not recorded in the buffer,
I am forced to restart the OT to fix the problem.
I create new project, i format memory card. Always same…
More details please. What are your Rec Setup 1 and Rec Setup 2 settings ?
When it records longer, there’s no sound ?
Do you use a one shot rec trig ?
Any scale setup modification ?
Ok bank change means part change means potential recording problems.
My guess is that it memorize the previous part RLEN setting. Make same settings Rec Setup settings for the other bank (especially RLEN=64, SRC3=T8) and check again.
Reboot is not necessary I think. A project reload is enough.
even without changing banks now… the one shot trig ignores RLEN and does not stop. it’s very boring … when I reboot it’s better, but I can not restart in full show! Is no isolated problem, every 10min/15min reboot needed…
As I wrote, reload project should suffice, no need to reboot. If you modify and set again RLEN to 64, it should work, without project reload.
It seems to revert to RLEN = MAX setting.
Are you absolutely sure there’s no part change, no bank change after reload or reboot ? If it’s the case, set other parts settings with RLEN 64 and SRC3 T8.
I had a similar bug with part changes.
I know I’m necro-ing a long-dead post. But this bug is still here. The octatrack can fail to load the right part settings for recordings when switching parts. Luckily I can set the same settings for both my parts.
Glad this post was here, I thought I was going insane. Very silly.
Pretty sure it was same bank, creating a new part/pattern with different rec setup params. The rec parameters did not change functionally (even though the UI said they did) until I power-cycled the unit. I think the issue also happened with a new project I created in the same power-cycle.
I make use of parts often, and when skipping around between banks working on different things, I’ve noticed OT can “forget” to do something.
I usually save all parts and reload, then everything is back to where it should be.
