Hi can somone comment on this ?
I want to record, or send a midi sequence i did in ableton to the analog 4, i know i can send live record mode to do it, but it starts when i enable it from the A4. The question is, how do i start it from the midi file in ableton ? Can i send a CC message at the beginning of the clip ? (And a stop message at the end ?)
Are ther better ways to do it?
I would set the A4 to external sync then set the Ableton clip launch settings to quantize on a bar. Then press play in Ableton to start Ablton and the A4, record+play (real time record with record led flashing) on the A4 then play the clip just before the sequence ends on the A4. It should trigger at the beginning of the sequence. Make sure that the A4 is responding to start/stop messages and turn off looping on the clip in Ableton so it doesn’t send double notes. Otherwise I see no reason why that wouldn’t work.
