Hi all,
So I’ve been setting up my OT for a live set up that would be me playing sequenced samples/loops on an OT and a vocalist singing over the top.
I’ve got a delay pedal that I am using with CUE output to dub certain tracks out, I have this plugged into input AB with DIR monitoring turned up.
My understanding was that for my transitions I would sample track 8 (master) with SRC3 selected only and it would disregard the delay return signal coming in AB but I’ve tried all sorts of settings and can’t get it to only record internal OT tracks.
What is the purpose of being able to deselect inputs AB, CD in record set up if they come through anyway?
This kind of brings up another issue which is I had planned to have the mic going through the inputs CD and direct monitored so I could run it through the delay and maybe sample snippets, but when I need to sample a loop to transition to a new pattern the vocal would also be looped which is definitely not what I want.
I think the only way to do this is using CUE as rec source and selecting only internal tracks but that would not be possible with using CUE as an external fx send and would also disregard any master fx on track 8. Agh!
Or I have another mixer for OT outputs/delay return signal/mic signal but OT is supposed to be a mixer/sampler!
I hope there’s a solution…
