Question on FX Track

Getting my arms around the FX Track on my A4 Mki, with respect to the 4 internal tracks on the unit as well as how it relates to input from an external synth (in this case, a Doepfer Dark Energy III).

Is the basic purpose of the FX track to:
a. Deal with the FX settings for any external input (specifically how much of each fx will be applied to the incoming signal), and
b. To set the overall parameters for Chorus, Delay, and Reverb for the A4 for the specific pattern.

And then - how much of each fx are applied to the 4 internal tracks is adjusted in the Amp section on each track?

Just trying to get the overall view of this.

Thanks.

Correct you can also automate the fx parameters within the fx track.

Besides p-locking fx parameters, you have ofc the two lfos on the fx track, so there’s a lot you can do. The FX track also comes in handy when using the cv outputs (for example sequencing 2x cv/gate on the CV track and the FX track without needing to use one of the synth tracks as CV source.
