So I finally purchased a push 2 and today I bought the update for Maschine to version 2.0 in the sale. I used to use midi tracks to control maschine but now I have a push 2 I am wondering if any of you peeps have a way of using push to play kits from Maschine? I love the maschine sound library and effects but push 2 was a better choice for me as I am a long term ableton user.
I just manually build my own kits from the Machine library .wavs. That library is so good.
good plan. If i recall last time I had issue trying to do that with the old version. The library is indeed incredible though. I don’t enjoy drum sound design so I fricking love maschine. I can just get down to making tracks.
were you using the kit files or the individual .wavs?
I just go into the .wav folders and find what I want to use. Takes some time but so does good music
Also, check out PolyPlex - it’s on sale right now.
Quick and easy sound design with good results.

I think the issue last time I used it was I was going the other way trying to use ableton kits with maschine mikro. I’ll give the wavs a shot tonight. Making my own kits should be more fun anyway. can pick and choose from them all.
This method works with battery 4, kontakt 5, and maschine
Sorry to bump this old thread but I just learned how to easily map Push 2 to Battery and I’m super excited about it. Lots of YouTube tutorials on how to do this but I’m excited to be using my Maschine kits in Ableton now. Great stuff
I’d pretty much forgotten that I even had battery installed and saved as a drum rack, thanks for the reminder…
Now. Does anyone know how to map controls in Battery to macros in Ableton? Thanks!
There’s kitmaker as well, makes ADG kits from maschine
Should be possible via the midi mapping on the vst. U press that icon and every knob u press gets auto mapped AFAIK
Thank you - unfortunately Battery mapping seems different than other vsts which follow the process you outlined.
Yeah I had a crack at that, it’s handy but without the native instruments processing they sound totally different, best bet is battery by far… pretty much production ready…
Ah didnt know! Thanks. So via battery works best then.
Yeah all you get when you import the kits via kitmaker is the dry samples…
I’ve had Battery like my whole life and am just now realizing how awesome of a drum machine it is. And the fact I can sequence it with my Push is great.
Thing that I like is on Maschine, you don’t have probability. With Push, you do. Great stuff.
nice ill try that out1
