Psytrance kick bass parameters

Hi everyone I’m looking for someone who can give me advice on how to create a kick and a low psytrance telling me how to adjust the various parameters. I’m trying but I don’t get anything similar to a low psytrance line that galloping jumping. you know what I mean.

Thanks to those who can help me

Hi,

For example : How to Make a Psytrance Rolling Bassline That Locks With the Kick - Myloops
Or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kenwb4kiBiw

Could you post an example or video of the sound you’re trying to make?

A sound is worth a thousand words.

psytrance bassline (this is a link of example)

This is to make you understand what I mean. recreate the sound of the bass and with all the parameters that the syntatk has to hear it like this

the sequence is KBBB - KBBB - KBBB - KBBB

There’s a thread here:

I think the trick is to slightly reduce the volume of the first B after each K, otherwise your ear fixates on that B and you start to hear it as the first beat of the bar instead of the second.

See this video at time 17:30:

Thanks I had already seen it. I was looking for someone to explain to me how to adjust the various parameters to create the bass, here shows the track ready-made.

Thanks anyway

Thanks for the advice it will be useful to me:heart_eyes::pray:

I thought you meant how to get the “gallop” effect.

There’s a hundred different possible bass sounds, I don’t think anybody can tell you the “correct” one. You need to play with the different machines and watch lots of videos.

Most of the effect comes from putting little variations on each step once you find a sound which is nearly there. It really makes a difference. You can also put slow moving LFOs to vary things over time.

Nobody does it on the first try, you have to practice. :slightly_smiling_face:

Sorry to ask this, but do you understand how synthesis - in general - works?

Because “psytrance bass” is just a retriggering sawtooth wave with immediate AMP Attack, no Decay, full Sustain and very, very short Release with filter (cutoff) set to low and modulated up with an even shorter envelope using short Decay, instead of Release. The MIDI notes - triggers - shouldn’t overlap, ideally they should be shorter than 1/16th. That’s the 90% of it. The rest is some EQ, overdrive, etc. - but these are a matter of taste.
