Problems using M:S as audio interface

Hello there,

I’m trying to use M:S as audio interface with a new Macbook. I can use it with Transfer without problems, but I can’t see it as audio interface into the system. I’m using macOS Monterey 12.3.1 in a 2019 Macbook Pro.

I’m using a USB-C hub to connect it, and I’m thinking that could be the problem. But not sure why.

I’m on vacations now and I don’t have another cable. I could try to buy some if this could be the problem.

Any experience with something similar?

Thanks in advance,

Cheers

Uge

Welcome to the forum!

Go to your Device Config settings and make sure it’s set to A+M. The will allow audio interface and midi functionality.

so just to be sure, the MS can route stereo audio to your daw? does it also support output of the master mix to the MS?

I think the term “audio interface” is not accurate, as there is no actual input to the unit in order to pass audio from another device, through the M:S and into the computer.

Audio from the Model:Samples can be transmitted using just USB instead of using the 1/4" stereo or headphone outputs, which is what is being discussed here.
